Flora of Montecito Print

Our studio relocated from the midwest to Montecito in August 2017. In the months that followed, our beautiful town was devastated by a massive wildfire and a subsequent deadly mudslide. The community of Montecito displayed an unwavering strength and grace throughout this tragic community event. The Flora of Montecito print was conceived during my family & business' evacuation from home. As I encountered people through the recovery effort, they called to mind the flora of this hearty Southern California landscape: cacti, succulents, resourceful trees and stubborn, gorgeous plants that demonstrate a will to survive. I painted nine in total and gathered them here in one print. 

The Flora of Montecito print is 13 x 19" and is printed on heavy matte archival paper on Indigo Press. Original artwork rendered in gouache.
